This digital mixer from Zoom is perfect for podcasters, because of the combination of an audio interface, mixing console and audio file player. The L-8 has 8 input channels and a multi-track recorder that can record up to 12 tracks simultaneously. This device can be used as a 12-in / 4-out USB audio interface even while recording to the SD card. Up to 4 headphones can be connected, powered by the L-8's 3 independent monitor mixes and 1 master mix. This ZOOM digital mixer has 6 sound pads that podcasters can use to play sound effects, intros, jingles, sound effects, among other things. It is possible to activate a pre-recorded commercial or interview.

Thanks to the smartphone connection and an included TRRS cable, the L-8 is ideal for podcasting with remote guests. The Mix-Minus function automatically prevents echo and feedback to and from the guest. The USB connection can also be used to route audio from Skype, FaceTime, Hangouts, Slack, among others. Powered by 4 AA batteries for up to 2 ½ hours, for longer recording sessions you can connect a portable USB battery. When it runs out, the L-8 automatically switches to the AA battery. A power adapter is also included.
