What size windshield do I need?

Windshields (windscreens, popfilters, microphone covers) are the foam covers/shields that are placed over the
voice section of the microphone. The purpose is to avoid the popping and rustling with the pronunciation of,
among others, the letters P, F and S and to prevent the whooshing sound of the wind with outdoor use.

The windshields are available in round, elongated, triangular, square sizes and are used with microphones,
singing microphones, headsets, clip-on microphones. These microphones are also different in size; finding a proper
windshield is therefore of great importance. If the windshield is too small or too short, it might tear when placing.
A windshield that is too big, will slide or fall off. In the webshop there is a list of matching microphones with each windshield.

What size windshield do I need?

Measure the circumference of the microphonehead and the length of the speech section where the windshield must be placed.
See which bore size (inner diameter) and depth of the windshield match.

Availabel windshield bore sizes

The bore size of the windshield is indicated by different sizes:
Innerdiameter, outer diameter, innerlength and outer length.

Innerdiameter HANDHELD serie
- ∅ 17mm = bore size 01
- ∅ 23mm = bore size 02
- ∅ 35mm = bore size 03
- ∅ 40mm = bore size 04

Innerdiameter STUDIO serie
- ∅ 45mm = bore size 01
- ∅ 55mm = bore size 02

Please note: Foam is flexible so the hole should always be smaller, otherwise the windshield will fall off.
