About the sleeve
This sleeve is intended for use with a shotgun microphone in combination with your usual (handheld) windshield.
The sleeve can be slid over the shotgun microphone, because the handheld windshield are not long enough to cover the entire microphone. By using this sleeve, wind and noise sounds are minimized and the windshield is also better seated.
