The SmartRig II from Saramonic is an audio adapter to connect microphones with XLR or 6.35mm plug (male) to your iPhone, Android smartphone or tablet. So you can make recordings with your favorite video or audio app and record the sound in high quality. The SmartRig II operates on a 9V battery, which makes it possible to supply + 48V phantom power to condenser microphones. In addition to the XLR port, the SmartRig II has a 3.5mm female port, to which you can connect your headphones. This makes it possible to assess the recordings live. The knob can be used to adjust the level to prevent overdriving.

Application

The SmartRig II is ideal for a journalist or reporter on location. The sound is sent in high quality by the SmartRig II to your smartphone, which makes it suitable for radio and TV. The recorded sound can be forwarded directly with your favorite app. The SmartRig II is very compact and weighs only 75 grams, so you can easily take it with you. When using an iPhone 7 or newer, you must use the Lightning to mini jack cable to connect the SmartRig II. If applicable, it comes standard with your iPhone.
