RODE Video Micro
The RODE Video Micro is a cardioid microphone that can be easily attached to the "Hotshoe" of your camera (video or mirror reflex). This microphone uses the Rycote Lyre Shockmount, a durable and effective system to stop contact noises.
Use
Because this microphone is very compact and weighs only 42 grams, it is very easy to use. Just connect the red cable (3, 4mm mini jack) and you can start recording. With a SC7 gradient cable (not supplied) it can even be used on a smartphone or other mobile device.
Ambient sounds are filtered
Using this microphone will significantly improve the sound quality of the recordings compared to the use of the built-in microphone of the device. Because the Video Micro is a cardioid microphone, less ambient signals will be picked up, but only the sound that this microphone is facing.
