RODE NTG8 RF bias Long shotgun microphone
Based on the RODE NTG3 shotgun microphone, the NTG8 is an RF bias shotgun microphone of the broadcast quality that exhibits elevated directionality in a wide frequency range. This makes the NTG8 the perfect microphone for film, television, sports and outdoor broadcasts, live performances and every professional distance micing application.
Like the NTG3, the NTG8 has low self-noise, natural sound, both on and off the axis, and RF bias technology to ensure that it is almost entirely resistant to high humidity environments.
The design
The RODE NTG8 is finished in matte black and comes with a specially designed shock mount (SM8), which offers excellent noise insulation and versatile mounting options for the microphone. Also included is the WSNTG8 windscreen and a robust weatherproof aluminum cylinder, for protection of the microphone when transported or storage.
