Impeccable silent sound
The iRig HD 2 just sounds great. It offers superior digital audio quality with premium 24-bit A / D converters and 96 kHz sample rate - the highest in its class - for a crystal clear digital signal free from noise and crosstalk. This pure high-resolution conversion makes the natural sound sound loud and clear while recording on your iPad, iPhone, Mac or PC. The super transparent preamp ensures that every nuance is accurately communicated to your device without any coloring or interference. And because of the 96 kHz sample rate, the depth and clarity of your sound will simply amaze you.

Amp Out jack
One of the things that makes the iRig HD 2 unique is the ability to send your processed signal directly to a (guitar) amplifier without the need for special conversion adapters. The iRig HD 2 has an unbalanced 1/4 '' Amp Out jack that you can use to send your processed or unprocessed signal to an external amp, floor tuner or a completely different setup for live performances. The Amp Out jack has a dual mode switch so you can choose which type of signal you want to send to your amplifier.

The "FX" setting sends your processed signal, or the sound coming from your software / app, to the external device. This is perfect if you want to use your iPad or laptop as an effect pedal board, the front of your amp or as a complete tone setup in a live setting. The 'Thru' setting sends your guitar's dry, raw signal straight to the output, allowing you to use a floor-based tuner or a rack tuner, a pedalboard, or even an extra full stage setup. Plus as an added performance feature, the iRig HD 2 has an integrated microphone stand "clip" and Velcro so you can attach it to a microphone stand on stage for live performances.

Integrated headphone output
iPhone 7 ready! iRig HD 2 has a new 1/8 "(3.5mm) headphone jack with preamp and level control integrated into the device, so you can monitor your recording and performance even if your device doesn't have a headphone jack. But this is no ordinary standard "headphone" jack - it features a high-resolution headphone preamp that optimizes the audio signal for full-range playback and monitoring. You can also use this output to send a stereo signal to a mixing console or a pair of active monitors such as iLoud Micro Monitor.
