Hygiene advice

Because of Corona we get a lot of questions about hygiene and disposable windshields. 

Some general advise on hygiene:

- Don't interview people that have a cold, because you will be in a too close range from them

- Do not touch the windshields with your hands or mouth during speaking; if you do not touch it during an interview, don't worry, you can't get infected

- Use gloves or a boompole/stand while holding the microphone

- Keep a distance of at least 1,5m to the interviewed person

- If you have to touch the windshield or take the gloves off, wash your hands afterwards

- Do not use solvents such as alcohol on the windscreen, this can damage the foam, print or flock layer

- Store the windshields in our special storage bags, attached to the microphone, so you don't have to touch the windshield

- If you leave the windshields in open air for 24 hours, most of any virus will have died

- We have the option to brand windshields with a name, so every DJ will have their own windshield

- Do not overuse a windshield, replace it regularly

- Disinfect your microphone handle after an interview

- Dutch virologists say there is no extra risk when a windshield is used
