If you want to permanently attach the Blue Compass microphone arm to a desk, then you need the Blue Compass Bush.
Installation
It's easy to install: drill a 1-inch hole in the desktop at least 2.5 inches from the edge of the desk. Then unscrew the nut from the insert bush and insert the bush into the hole. Screw the nut back onto the bushing from the bottom of your desktop (make sure it is snug and tight). Now lower the compass arm into the canister until it is engaged and turns smoothly in both directions.
