The BOYA BY-BM3032 is a shotgun directional microphone for your video camera which is ideal for general sound recording. The BY-BM3032 is compatible with DSLR cameras, camcorders and audio recorders. For high reliability, this directional microphone is made of high-quality plastic and equipped with a built-in shock absorber. This eliminates unnecessary vibrations and thus background noise.

Sound levels
During the sound recording you can choose from three sound levels:
+ 20dB (enhances softer sounds)
0dB (makes loud sounds less likely to lead to clipping)
-10dB

In addition, this directional microphone has a low-cut filter, with which sounds with a lower frequency are filtered out. A windscreen is included with the BY-BM3032, which minimizes background noise such as wind noise. This allows this directional microphone to be used in various situations.

Application
To use the microphone, insert two AA batteries (not included). You can use the microphone for up to 30 hours. Then you attach the directional microphone to your camera via the 1/4 "threaded connection or the hot shoe. With the supplied 3.5mm output cable you connect your camera to the microphone.

Briefly press the button on the left, so it is possible to adjust the low-cut filter in 0Hz, 75Hz and 150Hz. By holding the same button for a long time, the high frequencies can increase by 5dB. The LED light will then light continuously. Long press the button again to turn it off.
Just like the Low-Cut filter, you can set the sound levels in three different levels: -10dB, 0db and + 20dB. You set this with the button on the right. If you keep this button pressed for longer, the level will be reduced by 10dB.

Automatic on and off function
When you press the on / off button, the BOYA microphone will turn on. If you press it again for three seconds, you switch the automatic on / off function on or off. When this function is on, the LED will flash three times briefly. If the function is off, it will only flash once. You can use this function when the microphone is always connected to a camera. This way you don't have to turn on the microphone separately from the camera.
